Jack-o'-lantern will bring an evil glow to your Halloween

Asmita PrasadOct 10 2008

Halloween is just around the corner and its time we all got cracking with some innovative decorations. This jack-o'-lantern with light-sensing LED eyes, caught my fancy for its sheer freakiness, though the DIY project is just as slam dunking cool as a year-round mad light! All you gotta do is hollow a pumpkin out or get a plastic pumpkin shell if you want your lamp to last. Then rig a circuit board with a photo-transistor so it can sense light, throw in some LEDs and some batteries, work it all together with some basic circuitry action, bada boom bada bang, and you got yourself the freakiest jack-o'-lantern on the street. Just don’t try to hide your evil looking lamp in the hedges or in your sister’s closet because then it will just stay switched on all day long, killing the batteries and the “effect”, if you know what I mean!
