From sounds in farmyard, musician creates harmonious music

Piyush MehtaJul 30 2009

Kim Pohjonen, in a day or two (on/before August 2nd) will be performing at the Queensland Music Festival. For his performance, Earth Machine Music, he has spent a lot of time recording a series of sounds from Queensland farmyards. These sounds range from the moos of cows, bahs of sheep, whirring of farm machinery to tractor noises. He plans to mix them up with traditional instruments to expand the capabilities, sound, scope, performance and experience of the accordion to levels never before attempted, seen or heard.
