Guitars built with cigar boxes

Who doesn't love the warm sound of a guitar being strummed? Mark Melchior a.k.a Doc-o-rock not only loves them but also build them. He is a guitar designer and has built guitars for some 20 years of his life. Suddenly, he decided what he wanted to do, build a guitar using cigar boxes. He decided to move away from his guitar-fixing job in Hollywood and returned to the old world artisan culture and started to build Cigar Box Guitars. However, its difficult to find those large sized old cigar boxes of the good old times and he has to go hunting for them. He uses skeleton keys for bridges and key escutcheons for sound holes. Most guitars are the size of a Uke or a fiddle. What’s more; he even plans to build an electric version of Cigar Box Guitars. He plans to hand wind the pick-ups and amps would be hand built as well. Now this is something really creative.
