Mr. Hyde sofa
Taking a cue from the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, a team of students from the Scuola Politecnica di Design di Milano have created a sofa that actually reflects an eerie modernist duality of its own. Created by Pablo Crespo, Martin and Isaac Franzene Pineiro, "Mr. Hyde" sofa is powered by Serralunga and reveals its darker (or lighter?) side at nightfall. The eclectic design features minimalist lights that contrast bravely against the jazzy glow to provide an instant play of light and shadows. The bizarre sofa is all set to be presented at the "That's Design" exhibition at the Salone del Mobile Furniture Show 2008.
