Ora Unica Watch uses a doodle to tell time

Asmita PrasadJun 3 2008

Do you remember the last time you used an actual watch to tell time? Neither do I. Which is why this creative new watch concept designed by Denis Guidone really, really appealed to me. The winner of the international design competition Adamo Eva, the “Ora Unica” (meaning One Hour) uses a clever doodle design to tell time in the hope of making fashionistas reconsider the humble watch as a truly stylish accessory. The hours and the minute hands are represented by a single line drawn on two circular faces which turn one inside the other, making the doodle change in appearance with the passing of time. Hmmm… Righteous!
