Botanical gardens grow a wide variety of plants primarily to categorize and document for scientific purposes, but have you ever seen a tree covered with ‘automotive outlet parts’, i.e. silencers etc, being featured in a botanical garden? Well, this tree of outlets, “a project of the municipality of Leiden to increase awareness dust,” is being showcased at the Hortus Botanicus of Leiden; the oldest botanical garden of the Netherlands, and one of the oldest in the world.
