Originally made in the year 1920, this Mr. Peanut of Planters Peanut Co. USA is a rare point of purchase peanut roaster in perfect working condition. Though the previous asbestos insulation was removed, the unit’s roaster will work perfectly with a new insulator. The piece was restored almost 30 years ago and only a handful of such roasters are known to exist at this point. A similar roaster was used on the Atlantic City Boardwalk and the beautiful Paper Mache, wood, copper and steel piece still delights with its whimsical design.
