Robotic plant – Technology in the lap of nature

Piyush MehtaOct 17 2008

The robotic world unleashes yet another breathtaking invention and this time it’s the ‘robotic plant’, gearing up for some exciting drift. The hard work, put in by the robot research laboratory at Chonnam National University, is appreciated here at CoolBuzz. Like its biological counterpart, the plant emits oxygen, aroma and moisture. The show doesn’t stop here; robotic aspect is what makes it unique and cool. Imagine a plant that reacts to a variety of stimuli, greeting you when you enter within 40cm of the faux plant, blooms when spoken to, buds open/close according to lighting conditions and if you play some music, the plant will dance too. Now that’s what I call a handsome package!
