Skips turned into community spaces

Jaiyant CavaleJul 22 2008

If you thought skips were the stuff that your stinkiest dreams were made of, think again. An enterprising student has initiated a proposal for a website that has information about a skip’s contents, so that those who need may salvage it later. He also created a project that converts the stinky skips that aren't in use into skate parks, swimming pools, gardens, space for skaters and other such areas that give you well, pleasure and not stink. The idea being using waste spaces, skips are converted to interesting places with the help of accessories like plinths, reused materials from the skip itself, and other unused materials. Never underestimate the power of a skip, I bet, is the tagline of this design.
