Snail – A portable Braille reader

Piyush MehtaAug 5 2009

We are all familiar with how Braille has helped the visually impaired to read and write. With a Braille reader as one effective frontline device, innovations have to become better with the passage of time. To the visually impaired, delight comes from a fruit of such innovation; a Braille reader that translates Braille into sounds. Dubbed “Snail,” this portable Braille reader needs to be rolled on the Braille for translation. A novel idea indeed, but what if you don’t roll it straight?
