Triple Watch Cell Phone Concept

Veronica Apr 20 2006

This Triple Watch Cell Phone concept is designed by an industrial design student Manon Maneenawa of the University of Bridgeport. The innovative cell-phone concept won the first-prize in the Fashion in Motion competition and runway show at the CTIA Wireless 2006 convention in Las Vegas. The concept is a wrist watch that can be transformed into a cell phone. Maneenawa explains, 'You can slide the unit out of the wristwatch band, and with a triple-flip technique, extend it to use it as a normal cell phone,' extend it to use it as a normal cell phone. The concept is not just fashionable but scores on the functionality aspect too especially when you are driving. As a wrist watch, it also has a speaker phone button that allows the user to answer the phone and hang up while driving or the user can even combine the watch with a bluetooth headset and carry on a wireless conversation. The designer took his inspiration in the Transformer toys where children could turn a plastic car into a toy robot.
