This Triple Watch Cell Phone concept is designed by an industrial design student Manon Maneenawa of the University of Bridgeport. The innovative cell-phone concept won the first-prize in the Fashion in Motion competition and runway show at the CTIA Wireless 2006 convention in Las Vegas. The concept is a wrist watch that can be transformed into a cell phone. Maneenawa explains, ‘You can slide the unit out of the wristwatch band, and with a triple-flip technique, extend it to use it as a normal cell phone,’ extend it to use it as a normal cell phone. The concept is not just fashionable but scores on the functionality aspect too especially when you are driving. As a wrist watch, it also has a speaker phone button that allows the user to answer the phone and hang up while driving or the user can even combine the watch with a bluetooth headset and carry on a wireless conversation. The designer took his inspiration in the Transformer toys where children could turn a plastic car into a toy robot.
