Damas LLC, Dubai, one of Middle East’s leading jewelery retailers, registered its name in the Guinness World Records for the largest coin-like medallion. Weighing 185.88 kg (409.8 lb) and 1.00 m (3 ft 2 in) across, this medallion was presented to H.H. Sheikh Hamdan, marking the 10th anniversary of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Awards for Medical Science. Made of solid silver and plated with gold, it took a team of 85 dedicated staff to complete the unique masterpiece within 30 days, with an estimated value of 1 million AED ($272,257).
