Gun Powder Flask-Sundial Compass Watch

Built in southern Germany circa 1590, the 16th century gun powder flask-sundial compass watch is made of rosewood with inlaid and engraved rosette shaped ornaments of brass and bone. It features a small clock with 1-12 hours twice situated on the outer ring, a small compass with north-south indication but without correction for the magnetic pole, and a funnel-shaped small pipe placed in the socket allowing for filling up the powder flask, measuring 10.08 cm in diameter.
